About the Author

Nancy L. Crampton's first published work was a pamphlet for the University of Houston entitled Between Your Navel And Your Knees. She married Daniel Brophy, a Chef and Instructor, and they lived in the beautiful, green, and very wet, Northwest. Her husband mantra was: life is a science project. As a result, there were chickens and turkeys in her backyard, a fabulous vegetable garden which also grows tobacco for an insecticide and a hot meal on the table every night. For those of you who have longed for this, let her caution you. The old adage is true. Be careful what you wish for, when the gods are truly angry, they grant us our wishes. And the payment is always high, She fights an insidious ten pounds every year of her marriage. She admits, like all marriages, they’ve had their ups and downs, more good times than bad.
Published sinde 2011, Nancy Brophy's stories are about pretty men and strong women, about families that don’t always work and about the joy of finding love and the difficulty of making it stay.

***Update: Daniel Brophy (63) was shot at The Oregon Culinary Institute the morning of 2 June 2018, and her wife Nancy Crampton-Brophy (68) was arrested in Oregon on 9 June 2018 accused of his murder.
