About the Author

Leigh Bale grew up in the rural Western United States. As the daughter of a U.S. forest ranger, she saw some of the most beautiful backcountry in the world. She met her husband when he had just started graduate school. Two weeks later, they were engaged to be married. She obtained a degree in History and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society. Like her husbans, she has worked for years in the education industry, but nothing is more important to her than her family and the Lord. She lives in Nevada with her professor husband of more than thirty years, their son is a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, and their daughter is a student. Her favorite diversions are traveling with her husband, playing with her beautiful granddaughter and spending time with her family. Her debut Love Inspired novel, The Healing Place, was published by Steeple Hill in December 2007, and she won the prestigious Golden Heart for best Inspirational in 2006.
