This book was sweet. I especially liked the story of the little girl who lost a leg and her father during an accident. Lyn, her mother, is a forest ranger and is trying to figure out what would be best for the wild horses. They are eating up all the wildlife and drinking all the water. They are starving and destroying everything for everyone else. But the Indian tribe that lives nearby doesn't want her messing with nature or the wild horses. Neither does rancher, Cade Baldwin, who is related to the tribe by his mother.
Cade was a sweetheart! He was open-minded enough to see the truth about the horses and to see that Lyn was destroying her daughter with over-protectiveness. Lyn got on my nerves the way she acted toward her daughter. I'm overprotective at times, but what she did was awful! I understood why the girl did the things she did!
Her acceptance to Cade in the end was a bit too fast, but I just loved Cade and Kristen and the relationship they formed!
