Hotshot young film director Gregory Kinsey was last overheard arguing with his boozy, bawdy, over-the-hill star, Veronica Weston. Moments later he was dead -- in Veronica's trailer. Veronica was back in the headlines, but this time she needed an alibi, and Molly DeWitt was it. Molly's PR job was to keep everyone happy. But this was murder, a challenge Molly couldn't resist -- any more than she could resist homicide detective Michael O'Hara, out of his district but definitely in her league. What would it take to get O'Hara involved? Molly was flirting with danger, but wanted the gorgeous detective by her side.

The police think it's an open-and-shut case starring Veronica Weston. Molly doesn't agree. To find the answers, she and Michael must strip the masks from a cast of potential killers, each of whom has a motive. But only one has a smoking gun...
