Stirg is not a man to be trifled with, and that is what the Junes have done. In a previous caper they stole antiques from the warehouses of the Hermitage Museum in Stirg's home town of Saint Petersburg, Russia, and brought them to Charleston -- to him an act of sacrilege. Now they have co-opted his granddaughter, the beautiful Anna, and brought her into their orbit of friends and associates. For Stirg, the ex Nazi hunter and billionaire, two strikes are all they get. It's war in Charleston, interspersed with interludes of ballet, amorous dalliances, and fine wine.
