Ex-cop Joe Copp takes a case, and he's not even sure who he's working for. Surrounded by a cast of frightened actors, and the theater's gorgeous director, he's bodyguarding the leading man. Before he knows it, he's beaten, shot at, a suspect in a kidnap rap, and faced with the murders of four actors and one FBI informant.

Enter government agents, Mafia hoods, sneaky sex, and illicit drugs, and Copp is in the dark as to how it all fits together. Alas, more murder is in the wings, as Copp takes his role as a featured player in a script written by a talented and cold-blooded killer. All Copp can do is wait for the final curtain, and hope it doesn't fall on him.
