Gail Bate at Beaver Gap — James Hold

Teen sleuth Gail Bait and her chum, Virginia, find themselves stranded in the town of Beaver Gap without money. She wires her father for help but in the meantime must fend for herself. She is accused of shoplifting and murder and is stalked by a creepy woman from the meat market, while saboteurs bomb the town's industrial centers. At the same time vacationing hikers disappear into a mysterious cave, never to be seen again. Can Gail clear her name and expose the saboteurs without falling victim to the pagan cultists who intend to sacrifice her to their god?
