About This Book

American Tess Pennicott goes to England, the young woman takes over the running of an antique shop from her late uncle. She discovers a lovely porcelain sugar box later identified as the October Cabaret, one of a series of Sevres breakfast sets commissioned by Madame de Pompadour as a gift for Tsarina Elizabeth of Russia. At first glance it appears the uncle died from diabetic coma. However Tess soon thinks differently when she discovers insulin in the jacket he was wearing.
