About the author
Annie Groves was originally created by the much-loved writer Penny Halsall, who died in 2011. The stories drew on her own family's history, picked up from listening to her grandmother's stories when she was a child.
Linda Finlay is the author of many historical novels, and she has always loved crafting stories about brave women who have broken the mould. She is delighted to continue the Annie Groves legacy and to create new stories to inspire the next generation of heroines.
