Shirley:
The Stephanie Plum series used to be so much fun to read, but it has been going downhill for quie some time now. I really haven't enjoyed the last four or five books at all. This book is a marginally better read then the previous ones, but it still is tough to get through at times. The book begins with Stephanie getting off a plane in New Jersey, on her way back from a disastrous vacation in Hawaii. She finds a strange envelope in her bag with a picture of a man on it. Stephanie doesn't know how she got the picture and she throws it away, and then the mayhem starts. All of a sudden she's got a whole bunch of people after her with guns, knives and other paraphanalia. We have the usual with these books. Cars being stolen, skips getting away and buildings and trailers blowing up. I really don't know why I keep reading these books, but at least I don't buy them. I borrow them from the library, so nothing is really lost, just a bit of time.
