Zerog's Mission to the Farm — Trafford Publishing

Jigglely, wigglely Zerog and his sibling Zera, are beings from a land called Zerocious. This is the first in a series of books that takes Zerog on adventures into lands unknown to him. In this first book, Zerog is on a mission to the farm, in search of his tardy sibling Zera, who did not return to Zerocious when expected. Zerog encounters all types of things, living and not, that he is seeing for the first time. The creatures he meets are friendly and helpful. They are also to understand Zerog's language and can therefore point him on his way to find Zera. When he eventually finds his sibling, Zera she is in the barn, where she had remained to enjoy her latest discovery.

All the things that Zerog encounters are described by their physical attributes and by their sounds (if they make any). Zerog asks each time, "What is that?" This allows the child to play an active part in the story, as the child will be able to exclaim with glee what each thing is!

A great read for parents, with lots of alliteration and plenty of repetition too, not to mention fun words to read out loud, such as; jigglely and wigglely.

This book is made extra special with colorful illustrations by six-year-old Laycee Hardiman - a child's true perspective!

Zerog will have many more missions. He will find himself in such places as; the jungle, the desert, the zoo, the outback, and the rain-forest, to mention just a few. Each mission ends with his reunion with Zera who is enjoying her latest discovery. Zera's message, although subtle, is an important one to all. quite simply: "Take the time to enjoy small pleasures."
