The Wicked are among us... Thanks to the Council and their virus the world has been forever changed. Due to a mutation the virus can infect humans, and Psi alike. No one is safe from its reaches, including Wren and her friends. Wren and Darshan fight to protect the children in their care, while wrestling with their own ever growing bond. They may have been forced to get married, but does that mean their feelings are a manifestation of the Soul link, or could they actually be real? Jyoti is still working with her mother to stop the evils of the Chairwoman. She has to walk a dangerous line between truth and deception and at times it can be hard to tell the difference. Especially when the woman she loves begins to act in a way that makes her question everything and everyone. Misha and Greta offer protection to the uninfected out of the reach of the Council. They have kept as many humans and Psi as possible out of the camps the Council has created. Camps that are used to protect the Psi but where humans are used to be fed on for their energy. Can Wren and her friends bring an end to the Council and protect those they love from the Wicked, or will the price be too much for them all to pay?
