His nearness was making her lightheaded. Mentally, she reminded herself that she was twenty three years old. Way too old to be so easily swept away. But, it didn't do any good. Her eyes were captivated by ice blue shimmering in his eyes. She felt as if she were at the edge of a shimmering lake. The icy water beckoning her to step forward and sink beneath its depths. It would be so easy. But, there would be no coming back once she sank below the icy surface. With effort, she forced her eyes away from the icy depths of his eyes; only to be just as captivated by his lips. Her own lips quivered in anticipation of the kiss to come. Surely, it would come.
