Julia Jones is the pseudonym of Mary Hargreaves, an author of funny fiction set in the north of England. Her debut novel was shortlisted for the Romantic Novelists' Association's Debut Romantic Novel Award.

She has worked in hospitality, healthcare, project management, scientific publishing and â€" for one brief and regrettable summer â€" the over-50s club scene.
