It was the first time for Molly without Amy or Lisa. The Three Bears had all been together in kindergarten and first grade. Then in second Molly and Lisa had had Mrs. Brown and Amy had Mrs. Freemont. And in third and fourth, Amy and Molly had Mrs. Peabody and Lisa was in the other class.

But it was not fair, Molly thought to herself, that this year when everything else was going badly and her brother and sisters had almost left her out completely, she should have her turn to be all alone in the class of the worst teacher in the school.
