There are four species of "Mers": "Womers" are mermaids who live in shallow reef areas, "Shaamers" who are deep-sea mermaids, and "Homers" who are land based. "Mers" are confined to the ocean only and cannot breath air. The do not have the split legs that the other three species do. "Womers" can live both on land and in the sea but need to be in the water to recharge their special color and defensive systems. "Shaamers" are the deep-sea mermaids who can live on land also; but they are rather stuck with only their single look unlike any Womer. They are by far the fastest swimmers and deepest divers of the Mer species. "Homers" are the land based of the Mer species. Their large fins fold up from the knees and are hidden amongst mankind in everyday life. They have large thighs and big butts underneath their jeans and stretch pants and go unnoticed amongst mankind; although frankly a passing fishy smell may be noticed as they pass by. Underwater Wheels introduces the Shaamer species of mermaids as twelve of the eighteen daughters of the Captain of the Married Mermaid all decide to take one man as their mate. Poor Brian Young never had a chance! What could be complicated about a dozen sisters trying to claim the same husband?
