Unclouded Day
Joanna discovers treasures from the past in the attic of her Victorian home. Among the relics, she finds Polly's diary. Mesmerized with life in the 1920's, Joanna begins reading about a simpler time. She was lost in the lives of the family who once lived, loved, laughed, and cried in this house. The roaring twenties was a time of new music, jazz and the blues, dances such as the Charleston which Polly's mother said was the devil's workshop, talking movies, whiskey stills and the stock market crash. Flappers, the bob haircut, and the Model T were all a part of the wonderful nonsense of this great era. Polly Brennen loves horses, writing and debating. Her fiery red hair draws attention, especially from the opposite sex. Is this why her sister hates her? Just when Polly thinks she has found the love of her life, her world falls apart. Can she hold on to her faith when she is tormented by events beyond her control? Unclouded Day is the story of a girl growing up on a farm in Franklin, Tennessee. It is also a story of love, family, loss and betrayal.
