Solange Montgomery, a successful African American corporate employee, loves Ali Marks, a New York City policeman. They are torn apart because of the difficulty of a long-distance relationship. Reunited at the perfect time, they plan to marry. However, they hadn't counted on the damaging forces racism and intolerance, especially when they are coming from those they hold dear.
