The short stories in this collection were written between 1992 and 1997. There is no theme joining them together. The only thing they have in common is that all were published in the small press and/or read on BBC Radio. Most of them are based on either real events or reports of real events, for example, newspaper articles. One of them is based on a story told to the author by a friend in Italy.
