At a restaurant with his girlfriend Dominique Hayes, Tre Pound is nearly stabbed to death in the parking lot by a jealous lover. Tre Pound awakes in the hospital with detectives standing over him. He fakes sleep until they leave his room. To avoid arrest, he finds his cousin Michelle, a registered nurse, and tries to escape. But the detectives seize him after he falls down a stairwell near the morgue, and haul him to jail bleeding from his ripped-open stitches.
