When Cameron and his sister attend their cousin Celia's wedding, something unusual happens to Cameron. He suddenly finds himself attending a completely different wedding, where flickering candles appear out of nowhere and the guests are all dressed in old fashioned clothing. He also sees a woman from his past called Darcy, who brings out feelings of immense passion in him.
The time shift between the two weddings occurs when Cameron is sitting at the table on his own, so nobody else experiences anything unusual. But when Cameron begins to recognise some of the guests at this other wedding, and his sister later mentions that Celia has inherited an embroidered table cloth that is at leat a hundred and fifty years old, which was embroidered by a woman called Darcy, he begins to suspect that his worst fears about his life not being quite normal, are actually true.
So who is this woman called Darcy? And who is Cameron? And why does seeing Darcy bring back such haunting memories from the past for Cameron?
