This sci-fi novel about time travel and what might happen to ordinary humans if they managed to travel in time follows the adventures of a very ordinary man who travels in time reluctantly. Earnest Stellerman is snatched from a WWII battlefield by experimenting scientist in the future and unintentionally creates the danger of a deadly Paradox that must be overcome or the experimenters will vanish from time. Romance between Stellerman and a beautiful doctor, Maria, 2000 years in the future presents problems for the experimenting scientist. Stellerman returns to the past, lives a life there to avoid a paradox then returns to the future to be with his one love, Maria. His life in the future on an earth-like planet called Chalon and his efforts to adapt to a society that plays an erotic game to avoid boredom create many pitfalls for the time traveler.
