Jody Bauer is thrilled at the chance to dance in her school's production of Finian's Rainbow. And when she's told that she “just glitters onstage,” Jody beams with pride -- until her partner, handsome Jeff Reynolds, tells her it's the braces on her teeth that do the sparkling.

With all of Jeff's jibes rapidly turning the show into a nightmare for Jody, the only bright spot seems to be friendly actor Tom Arnold. When Jeff becomes sick and Tom takes over the role of her character's love interest in the play, Jody starts to see Tom in a new light. Will Jody be able to dance her way into Tom's heart and get her first real kiss -- braces or no braces?
