This Time for Keeps — Dee Williams

When 23-year-old London girl Babs Scott's parents are killed in an air raid, she is desperate to leave the city. She joins the Land Army & is posted to a farm in Sussex. There she befriends Lydi, a fellow Land Girl. When Mr Johnson, the farm owner, suffers a stroke, Italian POW Mario begins to help out. Babs & Mario soon fall in love.
