The Wooden Gun — Bill Morrison

When a bunch of murdering renegades attempt to push around Chris Elliot, an ex-cavalry sergeant, they discover that they have taken on more than they can handle. In trying to exploit the weakness of Elliot's kid brother, they find their own weaknesses exposed. All that a decent man can do is what he sees to be right at the time - and although a wooden gun may be just a joke to be laughed at, it can in its own way be deadly.
