The Weezlegog — Heather Hammonds

Most kids dream of being rich and famous when they grow up and Jake is no exception. He hopes to become a celebrity chef like the ones he watches on television. After a few messy disasters his mom bans him from the family kitchen, so he sets out to make his own kitchen in the garden shed. Jake plans on getting plenty of cooking practice before he gets older, so when he finds a brand new microwave at a garage sale for the bargain price of five dollars, he's very happy indeed. Jake's next door neighbour, Stella, is in the same class at his school. Stella is a terrible sticky-nose. She has the bad habit of reporting everything Jake does to her school friends and making trouble for him. When she finds out Jake has a microwave oven of his very own, she tells their class teacher and he has to promise to make cakes for the end of term school party. Trouble strikes on Jake's first attempt at cooking. In goes a cake mix and out comes something so disgusting that it reminds him of baked cow poo. And unfortunately for Jake, Stella sees what he's cooked! Soon everyone in his class knows about his foul cake. Things get even weirder with the appearance of a strange orange dough creature on his next cooking attempt, closely followed by its owner - Mog, alien super-chef from the Planet Bog! Jake's microwave oven is really a matter transporter that belongs to Mog. It's been lost since her last visit to Earth and now he's found it. Will Mog be able to help Jake make his cakes for school in time? The problem is, Mog's idea of delicious food is disgusting to Earth people. Then there's the problem of Sticky-nose Stella. How can Jake keep his alien secrets from her?
