The followers of Sam Adams believed strongly in separation from England, and were willing to put their lives on the line for it. There were other Americans who would make the wealth of the colonies theirs without a shot being fired. They were poised and ready long before the rebels were united, and stood ready to take over colonial government for their own gain -- a plan that not even Sam Adams knew about.
