The Third One
Time was the only thing she needed -- and was denied

Barbara Caldwell was a lady with a problem -- a crumbling marriage and an unwanted pregnancy.

To clear her head, she retreated to her summer cottage on the Cape. On Sunday she was seen walking along the beach. On Monday she was dead.

The autopsy report read, “Death by Drowning.” It could have been an accident. The police thought it was. But medical examiner Dr. Alonzo Casey suspected otherwise. And when the dead girl's innocent neighbor was murdered, so did the police. The killer had to be stopped.
