How many masks has evil? When Danielle March agreed try Keith Wyler's strange job offer, she had no idea that she was putting her life in danger. True, she wanted a change from the dull, stodgy existence in which she felt herself trapped: a knowledge of classical Greek had not brought her the heady romance every beautiful young girl yearns for! But she had not idea of how many enemies she was making . . . And no way of knowing who they were.
They could include Keith himself, with his oddly secretive manner and his unexplained insistence that she pose as his wife. Then there was his spinster aunt, Elizabeth who seemed to hate Danielle for no reason. His brother James and his sister Sally seemed determined to create dissension and fear. . . And all of them were masking hidden motives.
