The Sudbury School Murders

For the nouveau riche of London society, the Sudbury School is where young boys are sent to become proper gentlemen. It is also where Captain Lacey has accepted a position as secretary to Headmaster Everard Rutledge. Though Rutledge proves to be an officious, bullying martinet, Lacey endures the man's histrionics to keep his post--and to find the person behind a series of malicious pranks that have recently plagued Sudbury

But the mischief takes a deadly turn when a stable groom is found floating in a nearby canal. Rutledge brashly declares that the culprit is a lowly hired hand--who just happens to be adored by his own daughter. But Lacey knows there's more going on at Sudbury than meets the eye, and that he alone can teach a murderer a lesson...
