An invisible evil has been unleashed on an unsuspecting community. People are disappearing and rumors are running rampant. Is it a serial killer? A Chupacabra? The Loch Ness Monster? No one seems to have the answers, but all of the action seems to swirl around the controversial Cancion Chemical plant outside of Raleigh, North Carolina. Candi Enredame is a magnet for trouble. She is a spiritual hot spot where the forces of Good and Evil do battle every day. Her Santeria powers are strong, but her life is a continuous rollercoaster of excitement and danger, a fast-paced combination of unpredictable mystery, comedy, and suspense. Candi has stumbled into a place where terrorism, ambition, greed, and revenge all provide excuses for murder and mayhem. As she works to sort out the confusing clues, she struggles to maintain a normal life with normal relationships. Unfortunately, most of the people that she knows are far from normal. Other people cross her path and continuously complicate things, including the big street-wise detective, the psychotic baseball player, the old Native American shaman, strip-tease landscapers, a couple of undercover government agents, and the ubiquitous duck of destiny. Can she figure it all out in time? Or will she become the next victim?
