Mike Morris hid the backshot youngster from the posse who were after the outlaws who had robbed the Socorro bank. The Coltrain gang had left their half-brother to die without a grain of conscience - but Pete Coltrain was to survive, and with vengeance on his mind, he took off with Morris's horse one night.
