'The Silk Peacock' is a collection of twenty assorted, short stories of mixed length. From short pieces like 'Dreamcatcher' and 'The Thief' to longer pieces like 'The Make Up Boys' and 'Lilies of the Morning' themes include murder, kidnap, the nature of justice and the interpretation of dreams. In 'Sins of the Father' a son finds something out about his father he'd rather not have discovered and in 'The Tortured Charm' a family mystery is at the heart of the story. In 'The Mazarind Lake' college girls go missing while in 'The Popinjay and the Pretender' the composer Mozart's demise is given a new interpretation. These tales are extremely diverse and very entertaining. They will thrill and delight you in the way only Hilary West knows how.
