“A black cat!” Phoebe noticed at once. “Look, Tatty, the bottom porch step has a big hole, just like in Miss Plum's story. It's the wizard's house,” Phoebe declared. “Miss Plum said it was a house near here. Kit's the wicked wizard,” Phoebe cried suddenly. “He'll change us into a cat, too! Run, run.”

Miss Plum was just telling a scary story to the girls at the Good Day Orphanage, little by little, every night. But of all the girls, only Phoebe and Tarry noticed the house down the street. If this is the real wizard's house, should they tell someone? Or, should it be their secret house?
