About the author

The author of The Secret Divorcee prefers to remain anonymous -- mostly to avoid awkward school runs, nosy neighbours, and her ex-husband's solicitor. After discovering her husband's affair, she swapped dinner parties for working on dial-up sex chat lines (don't judge -- solicitors don't come cheap), hit emotional rock bottom, and then slowly, defiantly, rebuilt her life.

Told through sharp, hilarious diary entries, her journey from chaos to a kind of clarity is for anyone who's ever ugly-cried into a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, wondered how they'd survive heartbreak, or Googled 'how to kill him and get away with it'.

She's not famous, not perfect, and definitely not done yet. But she's standing, she's laughing -- and she's writing it all down so you don't have to feel alone.
