Harry Fassbender is a naïve coward, about to be hung for a murder when a mysterious man named Kornikov appears to save him. He makes a pact with Kornikov, who has lured him in with promises of a utopian America. The revolutions of the twentieth century are their test tubes for how to conquer, with Harry acting as a catalyst, and he soon finds that Kornikov's plans have very little to do with making life better for the common man and much more to do with gaining ultimate power. As the façade crumbles, so does Harry's idealism. With success in his grasp, Harry comes face to face with the truth about the choices he's made and is given a one last chance to change.
