The Right of Wings (81,562 words) Ai Ola and Elaine were dream friends - they detached their spirits during sleep to go across the galaxy to join in the life of their friend. Yeah, across the galaxy did present quite a problem especially when they were not of the same species although they were both humanoid for the most part. Ai Ola had her own set of very light wings built by her father for her, and when Elaine from Earth visited she loved to take over and fly Ai Ola's wings. When Ai Ola visited Elaine on Earth she wanted to go ahead and build some wings that would work on Earth with its much heavier gravity. So Elaine upped the size of Ai Ola's wings and got permission from the high school to build the wings as a science project. The science teacher's son who was several grades ahead of Brenna was sent to film the project and help out. He had no idea that Ai Ola would fall in love with the guy and complicate his life in ways that he could not even begin to imagine!
