Admiral Horatio Logan has been thrown into the deep end before. He is a survivor; he'd survived the Xeno war, woken to terrible indentured servitude on the Anvil station for nearly a century, and then when Admiral Irons returned, left to fend for himself with the growing navy. When he had been stationed in Bek, he had been accused of a series of trumped up charges and fought them as his implants tried to get him to suicide from the ill treatment in the brig.
