The Perfect Pretext — Bill Johnson

Ian Scott is a former counter-intelligence officer now teaching “Wildlife Surveillance with Camera & Recorder” for civilian birders at the local zoo. Many of his students are serious birders, but some of them also have other agendas. They refer to the birding classes as “Spy School.” The search for the missing grandson of one of the women in the class leads Ian to espionage. No one is who they seem to be. Birders watch birds. Spies use birding as The Perfect Pretext.
