The One — George O. Bancroft

Sometimes things aren't what they appear to be. Phil and Lou found that to be true when they decided to visit the city east of SpiritHeart. They were met by a man who told them that they were prisoners and the World Council had condemned them to that fate for life. A transparent barrier kept them from getting out of what the Council called, "The Wasteland." But the Council had never met the likes of Darryl Fong and he soon had answers the his questions. But the answers made the situation even more shocking than the reality he had faced after facing Daug, The One's mutant. Now the entire planet was being overrun by mutants and the World Council had declared that the team from The Galactic Federation was responsible for this new threat to civilization. Now the team had two wars to fight. One was against the deadly mutants that could attack and lay waste to entire cities, and the other was the World Council and its troops who would kill the team if they could catch them. It would all lead to a face to face confrontation with - The One.
