The Objector — John D. Mills

Detective Doug Shearer has taken a few days off from work to fish a snook tournament with his girlfriend at Cabbage Key. On the second morning of the tournament, he is out in his boat at daybreak getting bait when he finds a body in the water. The victim turns out to be one of the most hated men from the fishing tournament. Detective Shearer ends his vacation early and assumes command of the murder investigation.
