The Mystery of the Banana Plantation — G.H. Teed

A down and out, Dr. Huxton Rymer is captured during a burglary; fortunately his captor is looking for an accomplice in another venture he has going on. Rymer welcomes an opportunity and they partner up, with a swindle sale of an island Banana Plantation in Costa Rica. Britisher, David Greig, visiting New York, buys the plantation only to be told that his title is void as he arrives at the island. Greig narrowly escapes death when he goes to claim the island. He travels to London to contract Sexton Blake to resolve the issue and the problem of duplicate ownership.
