The Masculine Touch
Bindi's was a happy enough life, with the aunt and uncle who had been like parents to her ever since her own mother and father died, and her beloved riding. But it was not enough, Aunt Flo declared: 'No woman's life is complete without the masculine touch' - and she suggested that Bindi could do worse than try to ensnare Laurence Harvard, the wealthy Romeo...but Bindi was happy enough to have her platonic friendship with Johnny Stewart, and anyway, she couldn't stand Laurence!
