The Man From Painted Rock — Jackson Gregory

For over a year, the Up and Down ranch has been plagued by a series of thefts, mainly cattle; but now the foreman, Hard Ross, has lost the mare he raised from a filly. Then a new owner rolls up to the ranch in his red automobile: "Fancy" Jim Sherrod, a city guy and first-class dandy - and instant laughing stock of the cowhands. Hard Ross isn't amused, however, and decks his new boss as soon as he receives an order demeaning to his respected position.
