The La Jolla Shores Murders — Robert G. Rogers

Bishop Bone agrees to investigate a wealthy woman's murder as a favor and to lead police away from his client whose affair puts her down as a suspect. To that end, he tracks down a homeless suspect, a burglar ring, uncovers shady investment practices and medicare fraud. As a result, he goes on eveyone's list, including the murderer's.
