Swanson, a multi-billionaire is planning to set free a deadly and highly contagious virus/bacteria mix, blaming it on a biological accident in Iran. His objective is to create worldwide economic chaos. As a political cover, they take control over an evangelical movement. When the time is right, they will launch its figure head, Reverend Richard Farrow to become the next President of the United States. In a seemingly unrelated event, Gavin Lock, the former Middle East Advisor to the current President, and his son, are the sole survivors of a PLO attack in Haifa. Farrow uncovers Swanson's plans and discovers data on the PLO attack and the reasons behind it tie Swanson's plan directly to Lock. Lock and Swanson's daughter break into Swanson's estate and steal a computer tape that has details on the horrific plot. In two days, cans of the virus will be placed inside seven jet liners that are to leave New York for various destinations around the world. But, Lock discovers aircraft have already left New York. The American President, mindful of his legacy as the first black President is faced with the having to decide what to do. A Mossad spy in his inner circle surfaces and persuades him to refuel and direct Israeli fighter jets to their targets to destroy the aircraft. Air control directs the attack aircraft and they begin to destroy the jetliners. However, the pilot of one of the aircraft overhears a military radio communication and dives to get under radar surveillance and to escape.
