Like the satire Catch-22 portraying the absurdities of war, the farcical comedy, The Fall of First Allied Reardin Trust, portrays the absurdities in corporate America. The CEO's who drive their Fortune Five Hundred companies into bankruptcy and still receive forty million dollar bonuses have nothing on the CIO of First Allied Reardin Trust. Blinded by greed and hubris, the CIO is extorting managers to cut staff and expenses beyond the ridiculous solely to inflate his bonus. With only two years to retirement, he cares little for the impact his cuts and a bank wide software installation will have on customer service. Opposing him and his equally arrogant peers is a band of misfits, geeks and the plain clueless led by a disillusioned consultant. Can they avert a financial disaster and save the company?
