How does a small town scribe become a hero? In his own words Lazarus Wilhelm is unwittingly tossed from his simple life in Marigold Meadows into a life altering battle between himself and a fierce fire breathing dragon whose intent is to right a perceived wrong at all costs. With friends at his side, Lazarus struggles though his early life battling Orcs, Goblins, and numerous other minions of the dragon, trying to stay alive and ahead of his foes, finding that he can be much more than a simple scribe if he chooses.
