As they try to escape to a camp in Sangatte (set up to receive refugees seeking sanctuary in France), they desperately fight to stay together. But to get there, they must first overcome hunger and thirst, violent countrymen, a French government unsympathetic to the plight of refugees, and the sharp end of the invading Russian army. 50% of the royalties from this book will be donated to UNICEF, who battle to give a better life to child refugees across the world.
