Narrated by retired American diplomat, "Dodo" Dillon, "The Emperor's Medallion" tells of the search for a reported newly-found Sixth Century gold medallion of the Byzantine Emperor, Justinian I. It sweeps through the U.S., London, Cairo, Beirut, and Turkey and involves wealthy collectors, unscrupulous dealers, and incompetent government officials. Dodo eventually recovers the medallion. It is a fake.
